Johanna K. Befort, 94, Enid, Okla., formerly of Hays and Lyons, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Greenbrier Nursing Home, Enid.

She was born May 9, 1919, in Munjor to Joseph and Agnes (Schreibvogel) Pfannenstiel. She attended Catholic school in Munjor.

She married Eugene Befort on May 13, 1938, in Munjor. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, St. Paul, Lyons, St. Francis Xavier, Enid, and member of the Altar Society, Hays.

She enjoyed pinochle, bingo, pitch, crochet and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Befort and wife, Sophia, Enid, and John R. Befort, Wichita; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Gregory, Amy, Danielle, Paul and Johanna; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Laurinda; a son, Richard; four brothers, Nick, Rich, Justin and Frank; and five sisters, Lydia, Armella, Blanche, Lilly and Jeane.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Enid; burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Lyons Municipal Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Our Daily Bread or Hospice Circle of Love in care of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home, Enid.
