John Lee Thompson, 47, Plainville, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Rooks County Health Center.

He was born Dec. 24, 1964, in Polson, Mont., to Cecil and Mary Ruth (Adams) Thompson.

He married Mindie Cooper in 1995.

Survivors include his wife; a foster son, Donald Maskrid Jr., Plainville; a daughter, Ashley Renee Ulmer, Hays; a foster daughter, Autumn Maskrid, Plainville; his mother, Mary Ruth Cain and stepfather, Glen Cain; two brothers, Scott Thompson, Plainville, and Michael Thompson, Russell; two sisters, Lori Bailey, Houston, and Beth Durling, Vineland, N.J.; and a grandchild, Adam Ulmer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Thompson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville; private family inurnment will be at a later date.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to John Thompson Memorial Fund in care of Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, KS 67663.
