Johnny H. Deines, 71, WaKeeney, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012.

He was born April 14, 1941, in Trego Center to Benjamin and Pauline (Stieben) Deines.

He married LeVay Sue Glick on Nov. 26, 1966, in Hill City. She preceded him in death Jan. 29, 2007. He was a custodian for Trego Grade School for many years.

Survivors include a son, Shawn Deines, WaKeeney; three daughters, Brenda Hilmes, Renea Williams and Janelle Deines, all of WaKeeney; two brothers, Edgar and LaVerne, both of WaKeeney; a sister, Lillian Cochran, Great Bend; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, WaKeeney; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Services Inc. in care of the funeral home.
