Joseph A. Lefebvre Sr.
Joseph A. Lefebvre Sr., 86, Halstead, formerly of Hays, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Woonsocket, R.l., to Joseph G. and Oliva (Masse) Lefebvre.
He married Mildred Patton on Jan. 4, 1947, in Yuma, Ariz. He was a custodian for Hays USD 489. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Joseph Lefebvre Jr., Tacoma, Wash., and Tony Lefebvre, Colwich; two daughters, Kathy Haselhorst, Hays, and Becky Lefebvre, Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place; inurnment will be at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery, Chanute.
Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, is in charge of arrangements.
