Josephine Ann Polach, 93, Harrisonville, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Benchmark Healthcare of Harrisonville.

She was born Feb. 12, 1919, in Hays to Peter and Elizabeth (Meier) Bollig. She was raised on a farm on the Saline River between Hays and Plainville, and was a graduate of Plainville High School.

She married Joseph Polach on July 15, 1940. He preceded her in death. They moved to Junction City, where they resided until moving to Harrisonville in 2010. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church and Ladies Alter Society Circle No. 2, Junction City, and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville.

She enjoyed taking care of her home, family and being a Brownie Scout leader.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Stein and husband, Robert, Garden City, Mo.; a brother, Alfred Bollig, Dalhart, Texas; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and nine brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Xavier Catholic Church, Junction City; burial in St. Mary Cemetery.

Visitation was Saturday at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.
