Josephine 'Jo' Heier

Josephine "Jo" Heier, 87, Quinter, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at Gove County Medical Center, Quinter.

She was born Aug. 3, 1926, near St. Peter to Jacob and Katherine (Niernberger) Bollig.

She married Bill Heier on Aug. 26, 1974, in St. Peter. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Quinter; three daughters, Judy Conway and husband, Don, Dodge City, Norma Zerr and husband, Ralph, Park, and Dorothy Latham and husband, Bryan, Winona; a sister, Louise Dreiling and husband, Leonard, Arlington Heights, Ill.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Alphonse, Edgar, William, Walter, Albert, Alfred and Clarence Bollig; and six sisters, Seraphine Bollig, Seraphina Scheck, Lorraine Herrman, Angelita Newman, Frances Holzmeister and Ruby Bollig.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley; burial in church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, with a rosary/wake service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church/School or Gove County Medical Center, in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, PO Box 221, Oakley. Condolences can be left for the family at www.kennnedykosterfh.com.
