Josephine Quint, 80, Grinnell, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Citizens Medical Center, Colby.
She was born Feb. 21, 1932, in rural Ellis County to Peter and Agatha (Leikam) Unrein.
She married Melvin Quint on Nov. 22, 1949. He preceded her in death in 2011.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Grinnell, and St. Mary's Altar Society. She joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary on Oct. 7, 1960, and served as past president.
She enjoyed visiting and knew no strangers. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching grandchildren's sports activities.
Survivors include four children, Linda Windholz and husband, Augie, Hays, Ilene Beckman and husband, Joseph, Oakley, Royal Quint and wife, Eileen, Raton, N.M., and Marcie Wolf and husband, Rick, Grinnell; nine grandchildren, Tracie Schardein, Mark Windholz, Jody Beckman, Eric Beckman, Kayla Nuss, Tarin Giacomo, Raquel Quint, Jessica Sieker and Amanda Wolf; and nine great-grandchildren, Marissa, Mallory, Kyler, Alisha, Jade, Chance, Brianna, Laurel and Juliett.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Grinnell; burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Parish Center.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the parish center.
