Joyce A. Groff, 58, Hays, formerly of Stockton and Plainville, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at her home.

She was born Aug. 15, 1954, in Hays to Floyd and Florence (Palmer) Wallis.

She married Roger Diers in July 1970. He preceded her in death in 1979. She later married Michael Desbien in June 1980. He preceded her in death in 1985. She later married Gary A. Groff on Dec. 19, 1992, in Hays. She was a dispatcher for DSNWK, working there for 20 years. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, dancing and going to dances.

Survivors include her husband, of the home in Hays; two daughters, Linda Reed and husband, Jim, Esbon, and Sherry Henry and husband, Trinedy, Ellis; a foster son, Forrest Seay and wife, Crystal; a brother, Gail Palmer and wife, Linda, Arizona; a sister, Beverly Medley, Hays; an aunt, Ruby Bedore, Stockton; and five grandchildren, Zachary Werth, Landon Reed, Alysha Werth, Emily Reed and Autumn Henry.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine; burial in Stockton City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Thursday, both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas in care of the funeral home.
