Joyce M. Steinle, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Presbyterian Manor, Lawrence.

She was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Russell to George Steinle Jr. and Martha E. (Galyardt) Steinle. She was a graduate of Russell High School.

She worked at Russell Inn Restaurant and then was an employee at Russell Regional Hospital in the kitchen.

Survivors include a brother, Leonard G. Steinle.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church, Russell; cremation has preceded the service.

The register book will be available for guests to sign from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.

Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church, Russell Food Pantry, Hays Humane Society or Lawrence Presbyterian Manor in care of the mortuary.
