Julia Ellen Furbeck

Julia Ellen Furbeck, 75, formerly of La Crosse, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Logan Manor.

She was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Rush Center to Frank and Sarah (Keener) Petrik. She graduated from La Crosse High School.

She married Buddy Boyd Furbeck on July 31, 1981, in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death Nov. 29, 1999. She was the former clerk of the district court in La Crosse.

Survivors include two sons, John Horacek, Natoma, and Steve Horacek and wife, Jackie, Almena; a daughter, Sarah Tucker, La Crosse; eight grandchildren, Jeff Ferrell, Topeka, Cody Horacek, Parsons, Richard Horacek, Pittsburg, Joshua Lentz, Phillipsburg, Jay Lentz, Norton, Jesse Lentz, Hutchinson, and Jayme Horacek and Derek Horacek, both of Almena; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Wednesday in Locust Hill Cemetery, Rush Center.

Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine, Hays, KS 67601, is in charge of arrangements.
