Juliana Marie 'Anne' Bernbeck

Juliana Marie "Anne" Bernbeck, 77, Parker, Colo., formerly of Manhattan, Garden City, Jetmore, Utica, Eudora, Lakin and Denver, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Parker Adventist Hospital.

She was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Munjor to Peter C. and Agnes (Pfannenstiel) Dechant. She attended Hays schools and graduated from Girls Catholic High School.

She married Don Bernbeck on Aug. 26, 1953, in Hays. She helped her husband with his business, Berbeck Oil, in Lakin.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, Devlon Bernbeck, Lance Bernbeck and Duane Bernbeck, all of Garden City; three daughters, Kallie Male, Eudora, Donna Ramos, Lakin and Trisha Anderson, Parker; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard W. Bernbeck, and a daughter, Deana Marie Bernbeck.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Lakin; burial in Lakin Cemetery.

Friends can call until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Garnard Funeral Home, Lakin.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
