Ken "Slick" Tweedy

Ken "Slick" Tweedy, 72, Doniphan, Neb., formerly of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at his home.

He was born June 3, 1937, in Phillipsburg to Frank Arthur and Winfred (Jacobs) Tweedy.

He married Pat Roberts on July 24, 1987, in Dillon, Colo. He was a self-employed contract welder.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Kenny Tweedy, Kirwin; Kyle Tweedy, Fort Scott; and Kip Tweedy, Phillipsburg; a daughter, Kristal Harper, Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Diana Tweedy, Wichita; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; burial in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at the chapel.

Memorials are suggested to Mary Lanning Hospice or the Crane Meadows Nature Center.
