Kenneth 'Ken' M. Frank

Kenneth "Ken" M. Frank, 71, Kearney, Neb., died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at his home.
He was born Jan. 12, 1942 in Hays to Frederick and Cresentia (Glassman) Frank. He graduated from St. Joseph Military Academy, Hays. He graduated from Kansas State University.
He married Andra Attebery on March 20, 1965, in Clay Center. She preceded him in death in 2012. They lived in Omaha, Neb., where he worked as an electrical engineer for McMartin Industries. They moved to Kearney in 1974. He continued his career as an engineer at Agtronic, which later became Coleman Powermate. As an engineer, he holds 13 patents, including one for a residential hydrogen fuel-cell generator. He also designed the power supply to the Martian Orbiter Mariner IV.
He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He had a strong faith and enjoyed helping at the church. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren, watching University of Nebraska and Notre Dame football, Kearney Catholic High School sporting events, and gardening. He was a jazz musician and performed at Offutt Air Force Base Officers Club with his saxophone.
Survivors include four daughters, Melanie Moss and husband, Henry, Lincoln, Neb., Amy Stump and husband, Troy, Kearney, Heather Myers and husband, Corey, Grand Island, Neb., and Erin Wilson, Kearney; two sons, Mike Frank and wife, Angel, Granger, Ind., and Eric Frank and partner, David McCalmont, Kearney; a brother, Gerald Frank, Hays; and 13 grandchildren, Preston, Abbie, Anthony, Phillip, Michael, Alexis, Meredith, Jillian, Levi, Sophia, Ava, Seth and William.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Kearney; burial in Kearney Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Friday at the church, and one hour prior the funeral Saturday morning at the church.
A wake service will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Kearney Catholic High School Foundation or Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
