Kenneth "Kenny" Benning, 76, Collyer, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Hays Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Denver to Charles William and Frieda (Suhren) Benning.
He married Patricia L. Smith on Jan. 31, 1959. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Collyer; a son, Shane Benning; three daughters, Tracy Reeder, Debbie Kinderknecht and Barbara Duus; a brother, Charles Wesley; a sister, Darla Benning; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Due to his wishes, there will be no services; cremation has taken place.
