Kenneth 'Kenny' Rupp

Kenneth "Kenny" Rupp, 75, Hays, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at his home.

He was born May 12, 1938, in Wichita to Wendlin Rupp.

He married Charlene Dinkel on Sept. 26, 1959. He was a longtime subcontractor of Vitztum Commercial Flooring, prior to retirement in 2013.

He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He was a sports fanatic, enjoying KU, the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed family for visits, holidays and card games.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, two daughters, Cheryl Reeves and husband, David, Hays, and Shelly LaRue and husband, Doug, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren, Sami Vanek and husband, Justin, Ellis, and Tanner LaRue and wife, Jennifer, Colorado Springs; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; cremation will follow services.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the family wishes in care of the funeral home.
