Kenneth James Alvis, 52, Cawker City, died Saturday, July 19, 2014.

He was born Dec. 21, 1961, in St. Paul, Neb., to Carl Alvis Sr. and Sharon Wilson Alvis. He attended school in Giltner, Neb.

Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Hood and husband, Matthew, Red Cloud, Neb.; his father, Hays; a brother, Carl Alvis and wife, Janice, Cawker City; two sisters, Christine Hockman and Angie Alvis, both of Hays; a granddaughter, Breawna Hood, Red Cloud; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Benjamin Alvis.

Family and friends are invited for a night of food, fun and camping at 5 p.m. Saturday at Glen Elder Lake, 3 miles east of Cawker City. Please contact Christine Hockman at (785) 656-3014 with any questions.

Domoney Funeral Home, Downs, is in charge of arrangements.
