Lance Thomas Shepard, 38, Ellis, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at his home.

He was born July 10, 1975, in Hugoton to Keith Sullivan and Glenda Fern (Little). His parents are Steve and Glenda Fern (Little) Shepard. He was a 1994 graduate of Stanton County High School and graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in animal science.

He married Anita Jo Zordel on March 23, 2013, in WaKeeney. He was working for Eck and Eck Construction in Ellis.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting, spending time with his children and family.

He was an Eagle Scout and a member of Ellis Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ellis; two sons, Thomas Lance Shepard and Quinton Isaiah Shepard, both of Ellis; two daughters, Adelita Rose Shepard and Josie Ann Shepard, both of Ellis; his parents, Johnson; a sister, Bonnie Montoya, Johnson; a step-brother, Stephen Shepard, Salina; a step-sister, Reta Shepard, Archie, Mo.; a half-brother, Aaron Sullivan, Weatherford, Texas; and a half-sister, Brandy Phillips, Ada, Okla.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Hannah Shepard.

Local services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Ellis Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis, KS 67637, and from 2 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.

Additional services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel, Johnson; burial in Stanton County Cemetery, Johnson.

Friends can call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Ellis Recreation Commission or Ellis Baptist Church.
