Larry E. Walizer

Larry E. Walizer, 79, Russell, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Deseret Nursing Care Center, Kensington.

He was born May 30, 1933, in Russell to Lawrence and Leah (Peterson) Walizer. He was a 1951 graduate of Russell High School.

He married Colleen K. Hartman on April 24, 1953, in Russell. He was a truck driver for Russell County.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, of the home; two sons, Ken Walizer and Mike Walizer, both of Russell; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Russell City Cemetery; burial of ashes will follow the graveside service.

Friends can sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.

Memorials are suggested to Humane Society of the High Plains in care of the mortuary.
