Larry John Keil

Larry John Keil, 75, Lincoln, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at his home, following a long battle with cancer.

He was born July 18, 1938, in Great Bend to John and Anna (Krug) Keil. He was a 1956 graduate of Russell High School.

He married Carolyn Oswald on Nov 25, 1960. He retired from truck driving in 2003, and continued working as custodian and groundskeeper at Evangelical United Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David Keil, Omaha, three daughters, Brenda Kucera, Grand Island, Deborah Barnum, Vestal, N.Y., and Barbara Rademacher, Omaha; two brothers, Marvin Keil, Colby, and Dean Keil, Russell; a sister, Doris Maier, Natoma; and eight grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Fairport Cemetery.

Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell, is coordinating arrangements.
