Lee J. Schrock, 46, Oakley, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, in his home due to accidental death.

He was born March 12, 1967, in Hays to Don and Lori (Socha) Schrock.

He graduated from Oakley High School in 1985. He played football, basketball, track and golf.

He attended college at Kansas State University and Fort Hays State University.

He spent years working on golf courses in California and Arizona and loved it. He was employed by Sporer Land Development. He loved sports and was a great supporter of Oakley athletics, as well as local colleges. He was a prolific Facebook poster and the No. 1 fair-weather fan of K-State sports. He also was proud of his dancing skills.

Survivors include his children, Cory Schroeder, Chanelle, Kurstie and Chelsey Schrock, and Tyler Folds; his mother, Lori Ostmeyer; brother, Ty Schrock; sister, Yvette Vreeman and husband, Dave; two nieces, Alexis Schrock and Olivia Vreeman; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father Don Schrock; his step-father Weir Ostmeyer; his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Lydia Socha; and his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Mildred Schrock.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Buffalo Bill Cultural Center, Oakley.

Memorials are suggested to Northwest Animal Shelter, Goodland, and a children's fund for Cory Schroeder. They can be sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, P.O. Box 204, Oakley, KS 67748.
