Leonard D. Jamison, 90, Oakley, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Logan County Hospital, Oakley.

He was born Nov. 17, 1923, in Gove County to Wilcie and Gretta (Ikenberry) Jamison.

He married Mary Lea Lewallen on May 9, 1948, in Oakley. She preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II and an aerial applicator crop spraying pilot.

Survivors include two sons, Don, Wichita, and Randy, Denver; a daughter, Jo Lynn Jamison; and three sisters, Lois Marie Gibson, Lincoln, Neb., Birdene Fahey, Jenks, Okla., and Marlene Courtney, Baldwin.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilford and Delbert.

Graveside services will be at a later date in Baker Township Cemetery, Quinter.

Memorials are suggested to Logan County Manor in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, P.O. Box 221, Oakley, KS 67748.
