Leta M. Bandt, 82, Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Colonial Villa Nursing Home, Alma, Neb.

She was born Oct. 17, 1927, in Sabetha to Nelson James and Arizona Ozark (Gaines) Stevens.

She married Forrest Duane Bandt on Nov. 20, 1949, in Phillipsburg. He preceded her in death July 14, 1990. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Wilda Eaves and Leasa Brumbaugh, both of Republican City; two brothers, Vaughn "Pete" Stevens, Beloit, and Leland Stevens, Christiansburg, Va.; a sister, Martha Vernon, Gaffney, N.C.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Arlene Bandt.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Friends can call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, both at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice services in care of the funeral home.
