Lillian Mermis Arnhold

Lillian Arnhold, 80, of Firestone, Colorado, formerly of Hays, Kansas, died at home on April 29, 2013. She was born January 19, 1933, in Hays to Frank and Bernadine (Leiker) Mermis.
She married Daniel Arnhold on Oct. 1, 1951, in Hays. He preceded her in death Nov. 29, 2007.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Arnhold and wife, Sandi, Northglenn, Colo., and Rick Arnhold and wife, Andrea, Eagle, Colo.; two daughters, Cindy Arnhold, Firestone, Colo., and Audrey Ingram and husband, Craig, Longmont, Colo. She had four beloved grandchildren, Mack, Davey, Maygen and little Noah.
Surviving are brothers, Frank Mermis, Bill Mermis and Gerry Mermis; and three sisters, Delores Hoffman, Mary Ellen Schmidt, and Alice Munsch Herrman.
Three siblings have preceded her in death: Cecil Mermis, Vernon Mermis and Betty Leiker.
Lillian was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 47 and battled with the challenges of this debilitating and cruel disease for 34 years. She is now gloriously set free!
A memorial service will be held at Hays Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
