Lloyd R. Rodie, 91, La Crosse, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at his home.

He was born Aug. 25, 1920, in rural Timken to John and Carrie (Kaiser) Rodie.

He married Mildred Lorenz on May 4, 1944. She preceded him in death Dec. 3, 1971. He later married Ena (Nelson) Renner on Jan. 2, 1973, in La Crosse. She preceded him in death March 1, 2004. He was a farmer. He was a U.S Army veteran.

He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, La Crosse.

Survivors include a son, Gary Rodie and wife, Sharon, Whitehouse, Texas; two stepsons, Melvin R. Renner and wife, Virgie, Overland Park, and Marvin L. Renner and wife, Cindy, Firth, Neb.; two stepdaughters, Sylvia J. Hawk and husband, Richard, Leawood, and Sheila K. Wawrzaszek and husband, Joseph, Wichita; a brother, Larry Rodie, Denver; three sisters, Ruby Veltman, Savannah, Tenn., LeAnn Herbel, Niles, Mich., and Joyce Rodie, La Crosse; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Marvin Rodie, Junior Rodie and Delwin Rodie; and a sister, Alvina Bott.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Seventh Day Adventist Church, La Crosse; burial in La Crosse City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 1:50 p.m. Saturday, with family present at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Maranatha Christian School, Hays, in care of Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.
