Loretha F. McMullen Leiker, 89, Hutchinson, formerly of Lyons, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 25, 1923, in rural Hunter to Almon Jacob and Cora Mae Belveal Parson.
She married James "Jimmie" McMullen on June 30, 1940, in Beloit. He preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1993. She later married Clarence Leiker on Dec. 31, 2005, in Hutchinson. She was a lunch counter worker at Red X in Lyons and in food preparation for USD 405 school lunches.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, James McMullen, Albuquerque, N.M., Rodney McMullen, Yerington, Nev., and William Leiker, Hutchinson; five daughters, Loretta Moss, Clareen Olson and Connie Morales, all of Hutchinson, Jeanette Casida, Tampa, Fla., and Elaine Frater, Sterling, Va.; a brother, Verlin C. Parson, Lyons; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Saturday at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson; burial will be at 1:45 p.m. Saturday in Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
