Lori Lynne Schindler, 49, Wellington, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at her sister's home in Attica.

She was born May 4, 1962, in Plainville to Rita A. (Chard) and Louis G. Schindler.

She was a devoted caregiver at home and work. She was employed at nursing homes and for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. She was especially gifted at caring for those with handicaps or disabilities. She later worked for Wellington USD 353 as a para educator.

Her caring and loving nature served her well as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Survivors include a son, Colton LeVon Favinger, Wellington; a daughter, Samantha Jo Favinger, Wichita; her father, Hill City; her mother and stepfather, Rita and Ron Monson, Wellington; two brothers, Martin Bell and wife, Amy, Kingman, and Bo Schindler, Cawker City; three sisters, Lisa Inslee and husband, Scott, Attica, LeAnna Bell, Beloit, and Bev Hessefort and husband, Scott, Kansas City, Kans.; a granddaughter, Presley Jo Ricke, Wichita; two special nieces, Sara Favinger, Hays, and Amy Brachtenbach, Hill City; and several other nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Julie Schindler; her late husband, Bevan Favinger; and grandparents, Raymond and Vera Schindler and Kimber and Eldred Chard.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1219 N. Plum, Wellington; private burial will at a later date in the Attica Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Lori L. Schindler Memorial Scholarship in care of Day Funeral Home and Crematory, Wellington.
