Lorna Hoagland Knowlton, 89, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Boulder, Colo.

She was born March 19, 1923, in Osborne to Frank and Cora Carley Hoagland. She was a 1941 graduate of Osborne High School and attended Fort Hays State University.

She married Dr. Thomas Riley Knowlton on Jan. 2, 1944. He preceded her in death. She grew up in Osborne, where her father operated Hoagland Livestock Sales and Osborne Sale Barn. She worked for Boeing Corp. during World War II and worked at her husband's medical practice in Beaver Dam, Wis., where she managed the office for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Franklin and wife, Thelma, and Daniel and wife, Jennifer; an adopted son, John Parfrey and wife, Mary Ann; a brother-in-Law, Thomas Small; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Audra Charbonneau and Regena Small.

Services will be from 1 to 4 p.m. April 6 in the fifth floor Sky Lounge at Frasier Meadows, 350 Ponca Place, Boulder, Colo.
