Lowell Dean Norris

Lowell Dean Norris, 90, Osborne, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Osborne County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Laton to Asa E. and Gladys Mildred (Dorr) Norris.

He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Geoa (Zeigler) Norris, of the home; two sons, Doug Norris, Alton, and Neal Brown, Natoma; three daughters, Tonja Strope, Preston, Conn., Beverly Hershberger, Kansas City, Kan., and Nila Denton, Stockton; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loreta; and a grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Osborne; burial in Pleasant Plain Cemetery, rural Alton.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Clark-Gashaw Mortuary, Osborne.

Memorials are suggested to Mount Ayr camp meeting, Alton, in care of the mortuary.
