Lucille L. Ruder, 93, Olathe, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Villa St. Francis Care Center, Olathe.

She was born Nov. 21, 1919, in Hays to Samuel and Rosa (Staab) Zwenger.

She married Alfred A. Ruder on May 7, 1946, in Munjor. He preceded her in death April 25, 1999.

She was a homemaker and retired from the J.C. Penney store in Hays. She spent her lifetime in the Hays area until moving to Overland Park in 1992.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Altar Society in Hays.

Survivors include a son-in-law, Gerald Jacobs, Olathe; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Ruder, Texas; three grandchildren, Keith Jacobs and wife, Tracey, Kansas City, Mo., Deborah Jacobs, Overland Park, and Laurie Wesson, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth Ruder; a daughter, Jeannette Jacobs; three brothers, Sammy, Joe and Eddie Zwenger; and three sisters, Sylvia Zwenger, Laurita Sanders and Lillian Naegle.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.

A vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, in care of the mortuary.
