Lucille M. Leach Sage, 89, Dover, formerly of Osborne, Belleville and Lawrence, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at her home near Dover.

She was born Aug. 31, 1923, in rural Osborne County to Albert William and Margaret Dona Wineland Hackerott. She graduated from Osborne High School and Kansas State University.

She married Robert Leach on March 24, 1946, in Osborne. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1998. She later married Robert Sage on April 14, 2001. She was an Extension agent for Osborne County for nearly 10 years.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Charles Leach and wife, Donna, Gettysburg, Pa., and Jim Leach and wife, Rhonda, Hague, Va.; a daughter, Mary Anne Shriwise, Topeka; two stepdaughters, Janet Sage Bruce and Beverly Webber Cobb and husband, Terry, all of Topeka; two stepsons, Roger Sage and wife, Brenda, and Rob Sage and wife, Denise, all of Dover; six grandchildren, Cindy, Scott, Julie, Eric, Robbie and Andrew; eight stepgrandchildren, Amos, Lacey, Jessie, Lindsay, Ross, Hallie, Reed and Raven; and six great-grandchildren, Austin, Natalie, Alyssa, Bryce, Chase and Lily.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Albert Hackerott Jr.; an infant daughter, Margaret Ruth; a son, Daniel Leach; and a granddaughter, Nicole Shriwise.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dover Federated Church; inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Osborne Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Midland Hospice Care or to Dover Community Foundation in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple, St. Marys, KS 66536.
