Lydia Packard, 98, Quinter, formerly of Gove, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Gove County Medical Center.

She was born May 7, 1914, in Gove to Charley and Rhoda (Minick) Evans.

She married Alfred "Bill" Packard on Jan. 29, 1933. He preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1995.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Richard Packard and wife, Joyce, Lakeview, Ark.; a daughter-in-law, Deloris Seinike, Gove; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Packard; and a grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gove Community Bible Church; burial in Gove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.

Memorials are suggested to Gove Community Bible Church, or Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care in care of the funeral home.
