Madelyn Danills, 88, Sherman County, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Goodland Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 25, 1919 in Burlington, Colo., to Vernon and Emma (Schlichenmeyer) Anderson. She attended school in the settlement north of Bethune, Colo.

She married Edward Danills on Nov. 23, 1949, in Raton, N.M. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1996.

Survivors include five daughters, Vera Kay McKee, Georgetown, Texas; Marlene Whiteker, and Jane Philbrick, both of Goodland, Jackie Zion, Elbert, Colo., and Victoria Halbleib, Oakley; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Mountain time Monday in Goodland Cemetery

Friends can share their respects from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Mountain time Monday at Koons Chapel, Goodland.

Memorials are suggested to Northwest Kansas Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
