Margaret "Paula" Rigby, 65, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at her home.

She was born April 7, 1946, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Anthony "Tony" and Jean M. (Quillen) Walter.

She married Kenneth "Pat" Rigby on Sept. 29, 1973, in Hays. She was a homemaker, a stay-at-home mom and a day care provider for more than 20 years, earning her special and well-deserved title of "Aunt Paula" to at least 11 kids.

She attended the Catholic church.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Leon Rigby and wife, Karen, Berryton; three daughters, Connie Davis and husband, Tom, Soldotna, Alaska, Connie Winters and husband, Alan, Topeka, and Cathy Rigby, Oklahoma City; a brother, Joseph and wife, Jan, Hays; two sisters, Catherine Hupach and husband, George, Hutchinson, and Betty Ballard and husband, Mike, Victoria; a nephew and niece raised by Paula and Pat, Marc Younger and wife, Janell, and Christina Walter, all of Hays; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601; burial in Fort Hays Memorial Gardens, Hays.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, both at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Paula's medical bills or Hospice of Hays Medical Center in care of the mortuary.
