Margaret A. Mohney, 90, Ellis, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

She was born May 9, 1922, in Ellis to Adam and Minnie (Homburg) Massier. She was a 1940 graduate of Ellis High School and attended business college in Topeka.

She married Norman Mohney on Oct. 1, 1943, in McAllen, Texas. He preceded her in death April 6, 1990. She worked for Kansas Power and Light Co. in Topeka until retirement. After retirement, she moved to Ellis in 1989.

Survivors include a sister, Lena Hagen, Ellis; three nephews, Garnis Hagen and wife, Susan, Santa Fe, N.M., Eugene Massier, Ellis, and Delwin Massier, Hays; and a niece, Janice McFather and husband, Dave, Canyon, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ernest and Edward Massier; and a brother-in-law, William Hagen.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis, KS 67637; burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday and from 2:30 p.m. until time of service Saturday, both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
