Margie Ray Sager, 88, Lenexa, formerly of Hays, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.

She was born Aug. 3, 1925, in Wichita, to Charles and Maudlee Ray.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member and former president of Hays United Methodist Women. She was active with the IH Chapter of PEO, where she also served as president. Upon moving to the Kansas City area, she transferred her membership to the FL Chapter of PEO.

She enjoyed to read, play bridge, golf, and be with family.

Survivors include a son, Grant, and wife, Sue; a brother, David Ray; a sister, Joan McDonald; two grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson and husband, PJ, and Julie White and husband, Chris; and four great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Molly Johnson, and Christian and Carson White.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene; two sisters, Crystal Steimel and Patty Wolfe; and two brothers, Charles Ray and Jack Ray.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Olathe.

Family will receive friends following the service.

Memorials are suggested to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 15315 W. 151st Street, Olathe, KS 66062.
