Marie Flax, 95, Oakley, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Logan County Manor, Oakley.

She was born June 20, 1918, in Clay County to Peter and Minnie (Falstrom) Berg.

She married Carl Flax on Sept. 24, 1936, in Longmont, Colo. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Albers, Loleta, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Deloris Cherney; five brothers, John, Arvin, Arthur, William and Herman Berg; three sisters, Selma Berg, Elvena Nelson and Amelia Berg; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley, KS 67748.

A rosary/wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the church or St. Joseph Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home.
