Marilyn M. Shaw, 85, Oakley, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at her home.

She was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Wichita to J. Rex and Marjorie (Hibarger) Trotter.

She married Melvin "Mel" Shaw on Oct. 20, 1945, in Wichita. He preceded her in death. She was the secretary for Oakley Elementary School.

Survivors include a son, Kevin, Oakley; a daughter, Linda Miller, Rose Hill; a brother, Jim Trotter, Rancho Marage, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Oakley United Methodist Church; burial in Oakley Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the church in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, P.O. Box 221, Oakley, KS 67748.
