Mark Leon 'Shorty' Dumler

Mark Leon "Shorty" Dumler, 62, Gorham, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at his home.

He was born Nov. 4, 1950, in Russell to Leon and Wilmetta (Herber) Dumler. He grew up in Gorham until the eighth grade when he started attending Russell schools. He was a 1968 graduate of Russell High School and attended Hutchinson Community College, where he received his degree in agriculture.

He married Kristina D. Thomas on Aug. 24, 1999, in Russell. He worked for J.P. Pipeline for eight years.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Tracial Dumler, Hutchinson; two stepsons, Tyler Wagner, Gorham, and Jordan Wagner, Wilson; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; cremation has preceded services; inurnment of the cremains will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Elk's Ketch in care of the mortuary.
