Marlene K. Dinkel, 71, Victoria, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 18, 1942, in Hays to Andrew J. and Felicitas (Hertel) Dinkel.

She married Leland J. Dinkel on Sept. 10, 1962, in Ellis.

She was coordinator for the Senior Companion program at Fort Hays State University from 1998 until she retired in September 2012. She worked at St. John's Rest Home in Victoria for 23 years. Most of that time, she was the activities director.

She was a 1960 graduate of Ellis High School and lived in Victoria since 1962.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and was an avid supporter of her grandchildren's ballgames.

Survivors include her husband, Leland J. Dinkel, of the home; a son, Dale Dinkel and wife, Kris, Victoria; three daughters, Karla Rohleder and husband, Gerald, Colleen Kuhn and husband, Leon, and Tammy Dome and husband, Stuart, all of Victoria; a brother, Floyd Dinkel and wife, Pat, WaKeeney; a twin sister, Darlene Braun and husband LaVern, Victoria; nine grandchildren, Sara Rohleder, Steven Rohleder, Dani Dinkel, Kameron Dinkel, Dylan Kuhn, Nathan Kuhn, Andrea Dome and fiancé, Brenton Hoffman, Ashley Dome and Bryan Dome; and her beloved dog, Molly,

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant twin brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church, and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Cline's Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria, KS 67671.

A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Senior Companion Program in care of FHSU or St. Fidelis Catholic Church.
