Marsha Jean (Walters) Madison, 66, Liebenthal, formerly of Denver, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at her home.

She was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Faith, S.D., to John Jacob and Eudora Catherine (Lund) Walters. She was a 1964 graduate of Chadron High School, Chadron, Neb. She was a graduate of Chadron State College with degrees in English and history.

She was a secretary for the U.S. Air Force prior to retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Wayne Madison Sr., Lakewood, Colo.; a son, Robert Wayne Madison Jr., Buena Vista, Colo.; a daughter, Megan Catherine Madison and husband, Timothy Haynes, Liebenthal; and three grandchildren, Ashley Madison and Jacob Madison, both of Denver, and Lucas Quintana, Liebenthal.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church, La Crosse; cremation has taken place.

Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of the High Plains, Hays.

Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, is in charge of arrangements.
