Martina Zimmerman, 90, Quinter, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter.

She was born Feb. 5, 1923, south of Collyer to Adam and Mary Ann (Phlieger) Ziegler. She was a graduate of Collyer High School.

She married Joseph T. Zimmerman on Oct. 22, 1946. He preceded her in death Sept. 18, 1962. She worked at the Quinter Dairy Queen, Wagons Ho, and Q-Inn for many years.

Survivors include five sons, the Rev. Donald D. Zimmerman, Manhattan, Darrell J. Zimmerman, Mulvane, William L. Zimmerman, Hays, Wayne E. Zimmerman, Quinter, and Robert F. Zimmerman, Stafford; two daughters, Marilyn Gabel, Hays, and Jolene Nejdl, Quinter; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park; burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Collyer.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.

A rosary by the Sacred Heart Altar Society will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a vigil at 7 p.m., both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Hospice Services Inc., Phillipsburg, in care of the funeral home.
