Marvin C. VanDerVeen, 75, Prairie View, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Norton County Hospital, Norton.

He was born March 20, 1938, in Phillips County to Michael and Dora (Erickson) VanDerVeen.

He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Wauneta, of the home; a son, Curtis VanDerVeen, Prairie View; a daughter, Marla Kuhn, Norton; a brother, Jay VanDerVeen, Prairie View; two sisters, Marie Pakkebier, Densmore, and Helen Van Kooten, Phillipsburg; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Luctor Christian Reformed Church, Phillips County; burial in Luctor Cemetery, Phillips County, with military honors by U.S. Air Force.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Memorials are suggested to Luctor Christian Reformed Church or Johnson Cancer Research Center at Kansas State University in care of the funeral home.
