Mary M. Wells, 80, Inman, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Heartland Haven, rural Inman.
She was born July 15, 1932, in rural Deer Creek, Okla., to Evelyn Hope Nallore (Webster) and William Henry Currier. She was a graduate of Deer Creek High School.
She married Robert Howard Wells on Dec. 24, 1950, in rural Grant County, Okla. He preceded her in death May 14, 2003.
She was a homemaker, secretary for the Logan school system, bookkeeper for Carpenter Manor in Smith Center and Rush County Nursing Home in La Crosse and worked in the county treasurer's offices in Rooks and Sumner counties.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, McPherson, and Martha Circle, of the church.
Survivors include three sons, Steve Wells and wife, Lana, Springfield, Neb., Jim Wells and wife, Celia, Great Bend, and Jeff Wells and wife, Cindy, Junction City; two daughters, Lynn Hilgers and husband, Steve, McPherson, and Lori Feldkamp and husband, Ed, Manhattan; three sisters, Dorma Lou Kindle and husband, Bill, and Judy Currier, all of Houston, and Donna Garner and husband, Lloyd, Tonkawa, Okla.; two brothers, Raymond Currier and wife, Sandy, and Thomas Currier and wife, Joyce, all of Ponca City, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, Nikki, Travis, Trent, Taryn, Matt, Molly, Mike, Lacy, Kyle and Megan; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Trevor Wade Wells; and a brother, Robert E. Currier,
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson; burial in McPherson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church, Harden Hospice or Heartland Haven in care of the funeral home.
