Mary E. Windholz, 71, Lawrence, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 29, 1938, in Sylvia to Dennis and Florence (Schultz) Maley.

She married Delmas K. Windholz on May 26, 1956, in Hutchinson. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lawrence. She lived in Lawrence since 1960, moving from Hutchinson.

Survivors include her husband, Brandon Woods Retirement Center, Lawrence; a son, Tim Windholz and wife, Gretchen, Lawrence; two daughters, Joni Bontrager and husband, Jerry, Lawrence, and Jennifer Schwarz, Olathe; a brother, Dennis Maley, Arlington; two sisters, Linda Walters, Lakin, and Susan Graber, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Timothy Loper, Shelby Garlock, Adam Loper, Brooks Schwarz, Heidi Windholz, Hannah Windholz and James Windholz; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Penny Leigh Windholz.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Emmeram.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund in care of the mortuary.
