Mary Kay Wellbrock, 67, Grinnell, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, in Quinter.

She was born Oct. 2, 1946, in Hays to Joseph and Margaret (Wasinger) Kroeger.

She married Norman Wellbrock on Aug. 7, 1965, in Ellis. She enjoyed working with children. She had been employed by Northwest Kansas Educational Service Center and USD 291 in Grinnell.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Scott Wellbrock and wife, Vanessa, and Matthew Wellbrock; two daughters, Kristine Vollbracht and husband, Duane, and Tammy Wellbrock-Talley and husband, James; four brothers, V.J. Kroeger and wife, Paula, James Kroeger, Gary Kroeger and wife, Linda, and David Kroeger and wife, Leann; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grinnell; cremation was chosen.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Parish Center, Grinnell.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the center.

Memorials are suggested to the Trego/Gove Annual Walk for Health in care of Baalmann Mortuary, P.O. Box 204, Oakley, KS 67748.
