Mary Wiesner, 84, Hays, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.
She was born June 2, 1928, in Ransom to John and Frances (Weber) Honas.
She married William A. Wiesner on Nov. 22, 1948, in Ellis. He preceded her in death Sept. 5, 2007. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Perpetual Adorers, Auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary, all of Hays, and a former member of the Ellis Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include four sons, Tom and wife, Lisa, Henry and wife, Michelle, Raymond and wife, Annette, and Ron and wife, Faye, all of Hays; five daughters, Loretta Kreutzer and husband, Rich, Hays, Mary Louise Strutt and husband, Ron, Woodston, Rose Ann Chilson and husband, Louis, Paola, Jackie McGann and husband, Thomas, and Karen Wise and husband, James, all of Hays; two brothers, Ralph Honas and Norbert Honas, both of Ellis; four sisters, Helen Wiesner and Marcella Wiesner, both of Billings, Mont., Stella Schoenberger, Aurora, Colo., and Laurene Evans, St. Mary's, Georgia; 35 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman and John Honas Jr.; and a sister, Katie Gnad.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Ellis.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine.
A Perpetual Adorers rosary service will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Adoration Chapel at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
