Mathilda "Tillie" Kisner Dannels, 77, Hays, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at Via Christi Village in Hays.

She was born Dec. 9, 1935, in Schoenchen to Alois J. and Elizabeth (McIntosh) Werth. She attended nursing classes at Fort Hays State University.

She married Isaidore Kisner on Feb. 20, 1954, in Hays. He preceded her in death June 17, 1991. She later married Richard D. Dannels on May 7, 2003, in WaKeeney. She was a certified nursing assistant and worked for Hadley Home Health and was later self-employed.

Survivors include her husband, of the home in Hays; two sons, Kenneth D. Kisner and wife, Connie, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Keith D. Kisner, Atwood; a daughter, Kelley Kisner, Hays; two sisters, Wilma Giebler and husband, Marvin, Kansas City, Kan., and Edna Schoendaller, La Crosse,; several stepchildren; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kurt W. Kisner; a daughter-in-law, Marlis Kisner; and eight brothers and sisters.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine Street; inurnment will be at a later date in Kansas Veterans Cemetery, WaKeeney.

Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Liberty Fellowship Church or Mary Elizabeth Maternity Home in care of the funeral home.
