Maurice Riemann, 81, Hill City, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Trego Manor, WaKeeney.

He was born May 1, 1931, in Densmore to Joseph Clement and Margaret (Jurgensmeier) Riemann.

He married Anna Louise Farrelll in April 1961. She preceded him in death Oct. 12, 1961. He later married Eileen Schlick on July 16, 1966, in Oberlin. He was a power plant operator. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Hill City; four sons, Clement Joseph Wahrman III, Deerfield Beach, Fla., Robert Wahrman, Hill City, Richard Riemann, Colby,, and Gilbert Riemann, Nixa, Mo.; two daughters, Jeanette Vernon, Smithville, Mo., and Elizabeth Anschutz, Buhler; three brothers, Kenneth Riemann, Edmond, Ronald Riemann, Beloit, and Donald Riemann, Cincinnatti; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Brooks, Norton and Phyllis Wetter, Salina; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bernadette.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hill City; burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Masses or Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
