Michael F. Schwarzenberger, 96, Denver, formerly of Collyer, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colo.

He was born Dec. 23, 1917, in Collyer to Michael and Lugartha (Uhrich) Schwarzenberger.

He married Ida Marie Heier on Aug. 22, 1939, in Park. She preceded him in death. He was a farmer.

Survivors include four sons, Don, Sahuarita, Ariz., John, Centennial, Colo., Richard, San Francisco, Calif., and Martin, Overland Park; four daughters, Sister Francine Schwarzenberger, Denver, Sister Rita Schwarzenberger, Kaduna, Nigeria, Mary Segawa, Olympia, Wash., and Serena Billmayer, Arvada, Colo.; a brother, Joe, Olathe; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Collyer; burial in church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday at at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Hope for the Village Child in care of the funeral home.
