Michael Harold 'Mike' Younger Sr.

Michael Harold "Mike" Younger Sr., 47, Hays, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at his home, after a battle with juvenile diabetes.

He was born Oct. 6, 1965, in Hays to William H. and Karen L. (St.Clair-Raney) Younger.

He was a 1984 graduate of Hays High School and attended FHSU.

He married Tiffany Anderson-Watts on May 1, 1992. He was a master electrician at Younger Electric, Hays.

He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include a son, Michael H. Younger Jr., Hays; a daughter, Nicole L. Younger, Hays; two stepsons, Cody Watts, Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Cade Watts, Hays; his mother, Hays; a brother, William D. Younger and wife, Seattle; four sisters, Denise R. Simpson and husband, Hays, Juanita "Nita" Younger and husband, Parsippany, N.J., Kathleen M. Wudarczyk, Norfolk, Va., and Deborah S. Robbens and husband, Heavener, Okla.; 13 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Kimberly D. King; a brother, Raymond M. Younger; a nephew; and his grandparents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine; private family inurnment will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to his children's education fund, in care of the funeral home.
